P-Pup Pickin'

I'm sure there are tons of these threads everyday, but the search function doesn't work for me. So I'm stuck.

First off, I know how to wire pups and ect. But don't know how to go about finding the ones I want.

I play a P-Bass with flats. The pups are unmarked, and sound like total poop.

Looking for a cheap(under $70) good sounding pickup.

Any suggestions? All questions welcome. This could help others in the future.

These are the only ones I have any experience with other than Stock MIA Fender Pups... I think they sound great, and im sure 500 other people will mention these as well. Just depends on what you are looking for though.

Can find them from $55-$65 just about anywhere new.

dimarzio model p... traditional p sound. unlike the quarterpounder which sucks if you ask me. If you get a p bass why do you want one that is way too bassy and all the mids are scooped out.

Just put SPB3s in my 2000 American Standard.. 64.00 from Musicians Friend.. Major improvement from stock IMO

Fender 62 RI. It's a "best of" P bass pickup that happens to sound great and is right in your price range.

Fender 62 RI or used Dimarzio Model P would be your best bets on your budget.
