P sound with a Jazz?

get a p body throw a jazz neck on it.
i have a jazz body with a p neck from warmoth

Just roll off the bridge pickup and maybe roll off some tone. It's not a dead ringer for a p bass sound but close enough for me when I need it. Aside from putting a true p bass pickup in it there isn't much else you can do but then you lose the jazz bass tone. Thats why a good p bass is on the top of my short list.

there's a long thread on here somewhere about comparing the two; the guy made some recordings of a P and of a J with the neck solo, and nobody (including me) could conclusively tell which was which.
