Pages taking a long time to open in Firefox

Don't know if this helps or not; but I am waiting sometimes many minutes for pages to open in Firefox. New site looks good. But, for my browser anyhow, the response is almost not useable. I will click on a link and the browser sits spinning while the message, " Waiting for www.talkbass.com shows in lower left hand corner. For up to several minutes.

I can go get a coffee. But, that gets old.

No other sites are responding this way; so, pretty sure it is the new site software.

Still the same deal for me. Appears to be something about the TB server. I can stop the page load and hit the reload button, and randomly the page will open correctly. Still, requires reloading multiple times to get it to respond. Not good.

I just compared Firefox to Chrome and IE....doesn't seem to be any difference in load times here.

Great. On my computer Chrome is smokin through the pages. Firefox loads just fine when it loads. About 50% of the time it sits and spins. Cache is empty etc etc.

Strange. On my old slow XP computer running Firefox, pages are jumping open instantly. I am on a T1 line though.

Brand new MacBookPro...TalkBass on Firefox is nice and quick.

Firefox is loading fast for me. Windows 8 laptop.

For quite a while now, my pages have also been loading very slowly on Firefox. THis was even pre-updated forum.

It's not my data rate that is at fault. It appears to be an initial handshake hangup with the TB server when the link is initiated.
