Palmer PDI-09 vs. Heil PR40 - (AUDIO)

Sam, FretNoMore found a site that has frequency response charts of a bunch of different cab sims, including the PDI09. It's actually looking like it would be pretty good for bass on the mellow setting:

No kidding? I'll tell you though...I would hate to step on that REDDI with an additional layer of EQ or compression. Looks like the Palmer does add a little EQ, though. I would like to start using the PR40 again but I don't want to give up the REDDI, nor do I look forward to arguing with soundmen again.

I think the mic sounds best overall, but I really like the sound of the Palmer on 'Mellow', especially with the pick.

EDIT: Both of my JDIs have the Speaker function. I thought it sounded ok on my 50W tube bass rig when I wanted to capture some power tube compression, but they sounded like crap on my guitar player's Mesa rigs. My ADA Microcab sounded much better.
