I was pretty restrained in my pandemic purchases. Really just two things: Marleaux Diva. Ordered the build Mar 17, 2020, just when the lockdown started. Got it in Sept. Quick! I figured if this dang virus was gonna kill me I was goin' out playing one of my dream basses. The other was the Epiphone Vintage Pro T-bird in the second pic. I saw it and thought "Finally! A T-bird that captures all the features I consider essential to the design. Mahogany, neck-thru, large tuners (neck dive be danged!), groovy 2-tone finish." So, yeah.

Show me what you got! Basses especially, but amps, effects, accessories, whatever moved you to hit the "buy" button!

I also bought these 2 but sent them back immediately.

I purchased a Zoom B6 and sold off my Zoom B3 and an MXR octave / fuzz.
I sold off a PBass, , SBMM Short Scale, EBMM Caprice, Fender Elite Jazz V, Carvin SB5000, Geddy Lee USA Jazz, Sire V3, and 2 other StingRays . I also sold off 2 Fender Rumbles , MarkBass combo , and GK combo .

My only true pandemic purchase was a Mighty Mite fretless neck.

Unfortunately for my fretless skills, I did not play a whole lot partly to not irritate the family and partly because it really didn’t find a body that I liked it on until late 2023.

Got a Markbass cabinet, G&L SB2… both great but eventually sold.

tried a ton of strings, and got a Seymour Duncan pickup I love, still in my main bass.

but the big one was my Squier Telecaster which kicked off my love affair with the electric guitar!

During the pandemic lockdown I mostly wanted to start learning and fiddling around with 6-string guitar so, with trial and error I ended up buying a few guitars and a combo amp which I don't have pictures of but as far as the bass side goes, I did purchase a small Aguilar rig consisting of a Tone Hammer 350 and DB 112NT. A great sounding pair during that time but ultimately I ended up going back to Ampeg because it's what I feel most comfortable with.

i believe I bought these while the world was being knuckleheaded. Both had thier issues and I got both of them playing great. The Warwick was my first 5er and 1st wick and the GSR was my 1st Ibanez. Now I have 2 of each brand and 6 five stringers. I'm now officially a hoarder of basses.

I bought some bargain bass from the classifieds. Instead I went virtual

I bought a better keyboard controller

And some virtual instruments. and a couple mics. I got to making music and compositions more than I would have with any other bass, amp or guitar purchases. Probably the cost of 2 Sandbergs or EBMM

I think that before the pandemic, I wasn't interested in music gear. I had one or two basses, and was happy like that.

I started to read Talkbass (= buy gear) during the pandemic, or maybe because of it?

So, I've never bought as much gear as I did during the pandemic. Was it the frustration of no longer being able to play live?

And I was involved in an accident during the pandemic, so when I received compensation, I suddenly had an almost unlimited budget.

I bought an Allen Woody and a Gretsch G2220. I didn’t know if or when I’d be gigging again, so I didn’t get too crazy. Well, I got crazy, but it was from cabin fever.

I ended up spending around half of the stimulus on an absolute boat anchor of an acrylic 5string jazz-ish pickups and preamp. I could never get the neck to hold so I spent the rest on a custom maple neck. No pictures handy, its at the practice space
