I have a pot load of ball caps. Used to get one when ever we'd go on vacation (in the US, at least.) they're piled up all over my dresser, closet, basement, garage, everywhere, but I cannot bring myself to get rid of them.
I have a Cleveland Indians ball cap that my late father-in-law gave me. It is only one of two fitted ball caps that I own and it is the only one made of wool. It has a couple of small moth holes in it. I treasure that cap and will never part with it, despite the increasingly frowned upon depiction of Chief Wahoo on it.I usually run with 3 or 4 at a time. When they wear out I throw one away and put another in rotation. A few I got from places like Fenway or Daytona get tucked into one corner of the hat shelf worn out or not. Oddly enough some of the best fitting caps I own come from a college I never attended. My wife's grandfather was such a big donor they have a day of celebration for him every year during a football game. We go up into the president's box for the game and a catered meal and college officials are there handing out shirts and caps to the family members and other invited guests. It's a snooty way to see a football game for a team I care nothing about. I wear the hats all the time though. People stop me and say "Hey I went to school there. What year did you graduate?" I simply say "All I did was marry Big Jim's granddaughter." (Fake name for privacy.) the immediately know who I'm talking about and assume I'm filthy rich. Honestly, he was a good man though.
Still. Great hats.![]()
I live in a climate that this wouldn't work.I follow this rule for most things especially clothes: if I don't wear/use it for more than 6-months then I dispose of it.
I not only can't pull the look off anymore, I can't even pull my leather jackets on any more.Taking @two fingers cue, I started looking through my collection of black jackets. I have a lot, fleece, microfill, parka, bomber, wool, leather....
The leather jacket will be the first to go. Haven't worn it in years and I really can't pull that off anymore.

I wouldn't mind wearing a suit and tie occasionally if I got back into decent enough shape to look good in one. It'll be a while.Am I the only person left in the universe that likes wearing a suit and tie?
I dressed that way for years. It was my "uniform" at work until I retired a few months ago. My wife liked buying shirts and ties for me. I have about 100 ties to get rid of, although I wIll keep a few of my favorites.Am I the only person left in the universe that likes wearing a suit and tie?
I don't dislike wearing, I just don't do it. I put on my clothes when I get up and take them off when I go to bed. Wearing a suit & tie requires a change of clothes for other activities.Am I the only person left in the universe that likes wearing a suit and tie?
Great, let me know.I dressed that way for years. It was my "uniform" at work until I retired a few months ago. My wife liked buying shirts and ties for me. I have about 100 ties to get rid of, although I wIll keep a few of my favorites.
On a side note, I was in Ft. Worth over the Christmas weekend. I would have given you a shout, but it was too hectic. Perhaps I will get to hear you play next time I am up that way.
