Paranormal Activity

Even knowing it, I plan on seeing it again once it gets wide release. It's a good ride. Believe me, the road is as good or better than the destination.

Havent you learned that Wiki always tells you EVERYTHING that happens.

True

You know what, I think they already altered the page now as well; they took the plot down.

So great, the 5 minutes or so that the entire plot was up on the wiki page, was the 5 minutes that I visited the site.

Great...

But like I said, Ill see it none the less

Holy, can you please delete those comments. That's pretty rude. I would have been pissed if someone ruined it for me.

Yep. Haven't seen the movie yet. Just got it ruined, I guess, now that I know the ending.

I clicked on the Wiki too, but didn't read the plot part as I knew it had everything in it (including the ending) and didn't want to know that. Then I come here and surprise, the ending is spoiled. Thanks for deleting it, I guess. Little too late, though. :hmm:

Oh, I saw the movie last night. I was hopping for it to live to its hype. So here is my thoughts on it.

First off, its not as scary as people think, nor is it one of the greats. It has the feel of "real" footage which makes it feel real. the first half is like watching one of the ghost shows on TV, doors move and etc. The second half thats where it starts to get good actually, you start to understand the characters more and more happens.I'm not ruining the movie for anyone but, the second half made it worth going to see overall Ill give it a B

Saw it last night, it was pretty good. Lots of creepy moments, which I like a lot more than the jumpy ones. With all the "jump-out-and-scare-you" horrors out there watering it down, it's just not that scary. This movie did a good job creating a really eerie feelings and just making you feel uncomfortable without having to have things jumping out on the screen every 5 minutes.

I also like movies where the scary parts are not overtly highlighted by music. I like it when things happen subtly in the background and you barely notice it out of the corner of your eye. The most recent example was The Strangers, in the scene where she's walking around the house towards the beginning and the masked dude comes out of the shadows way in the background and then slips away with no sound. It's so much better without the "DUUUUUUUN" accompanying it making it obvious. Paranormal Activity did a good job making things pretty subtle, IMO. Some parts were a little Hollywood-horror-esque, but overall it was a good horror movie.

anyone else?

I saw it with my wife last week, and it was "meh".

The movie was slow overall, and you just end up waiting for the parts when they go to sleep to see some action.

The thing that ruined it for me the most though, was the fact that they made no effort to pass it off as real. Obviously it's not, but there's no "what if?" factor, and that totally killed it for me.

So did Howard the Duck experience any of this paranormal activity? Were any cute little duckies hurt during the filming of this?!?

I'll probably skip it... if there aren't any scenes at least suggesting of Hitler getting a pineapple shoved up his arse then... meh... not much entertainment value.

So... anyone hear of a possible remake of Yentl?

I saw it today. It was pretty good, but i wouldn't say I'm gonna stay up all night now. There was sooo much hype so i had high expectations. Really fun movie to see though, just those suspenseful moments and all you and your friends can do is try to laugh to get through them, but then BAM something happens. Loved the end. And the VERY end (if youve seen it you'll know what i mean) was so creepy.
