Passive mid filter.

I tried posting this on Facebook in a guitar/bass wiring group but got laughed at. I'm building a 1989 epiphone power bass. Normally I would have my buddy at the music store do my wiring. But he is now semi retired and doesn't do much wiring work anymore. I want to make a passive EQ I found diagrams for a high/low stacked pot. I found a diagram that shows how to make a passive mid filter. It shows using a inductor. Wild bill Lawrence makes the inductor with the resistor and capacitor as a kit for like $35. I want to keep it passive. Is it worth it to make a passive mid filter or EQ for that matter?
 
The Wilde Q-filter kit is passive. It usually takes the place of a tone knob, but with a push-pull switch it can be wired a variety of ways to have either/or. It does lower mids. You can tailor the response to your setup by varying the values of the capacitor and resistor. The bass version has about twice the windings as does the guitar version, being an octave down. I have one installed on a couple of guitars and a bass. I would say that, as advertised, the Q-Filter is more about toning down for clarity a high-powered or mid-forward passive pickup than an actual mid filter, although that is what it does in order for our ears to perceive a little less drive and a little more clarity. For more information, and real-world test results on guitar pickups see attached. Since the bass version has double the windings, therefore double the inductance, you can extrapolate the curves and values down an octave for bass.

Would anyone be able to make a wiring diagram for me? Or direct me to how it should be wired so I can draw one up? I added a musicman type humbucker at the bridge(in place of the jazz pickup). So my control set up will be: push/pull volume(push/pull will split the humbucker so I can still get the P/J sound), a stacked pot for the high/low control, the mid range control pot(using the wilde Q-filter), and a 3 way switch for pickup selection. What I really need is a diagram of how to link the EQ pots together.

Thank you for the info! It's hard to read on my phone. I'll have to open them on my computer later. I'm assuming the bass Q-filter would be the choice for my application. I'll have to read and see if there is a recommended pot resistance(250K or 500K).
