Passive pickups/preamp bypass

Hello, I have this bass with passive pickups that are fed into a 250K blend pot and then into a 2-band preamp. The preamp's output goes on a 25k volume pot. I 've been thinking about the possibility of a push/pull volume pot for preamp bypass, but using 25k will be too low for passive pickups in bypass mode. IIRC lots of treble will be lost. What if I use say a 250k or 500k volume pot to accomodate bypass mode? Will there be problems when the preamp is not bypassed?

You need to put the volume pot before the input of the preamp and switch to a higher value. (500K) That way you can use it in both active and passive modes.
