Patch Cables or Solid Couplers for Pedalboards?

Thanks for the info, all. I am thinking that cables are the way to go. I am also thinking that making my own will probably give me the results I want. That said, does anyone know a good source for high quality cable and terminators? I would like twelve guage cable and all right angle plugs. Money is kind of an issue right now so I'm looking for a cheap solution, if that's possible. I think I'll stay away from the George L's too. Once again, thanks for all of your input.

I use Fender Electrovolts for all of my 6"-3' patch cables. They are inexpensiive, and use Switchcraft connectors. The cabling is high-quality, O2-free copper. I've had them on my board for over a year with no problems.

6" cables are right angle - right angle and run about $4 a pop.
1' cables are right angle - straight and run about $5 a pop.
3' cables are straight - straight and run about $6 a pop.

Over 3', and I use Planet waves classic and custom. I like the custom series better, but they also run about 50% more for the same size/configuration of cable.

I don't know about cable, but Invalid Link Removed is a great source for any DIY projects. They carry Neutrik amd Switchcraft, and might have cabling.
