I use EBS Flat on my pedalboard.

I had to strip a couple for a mod. The quality within is magnificent. Worth every cent.

Buy custom made cables from your favorite pedalboard builder... All those cables wrapped in plastic will eventually break and will not be repairable in the future. Get a cable with good plugs that you can resolder if it stops working.

I've built my own cables, bought regular cables, and used EBS flat cables. Out of all the cables I've used I like the EBS cables best. Small, cost effective, and they seem to be a little hardier than custom cables. I still have some custom cables I've soldered up myself for longer runs and they're pretty good but there's no real cost savings for standard length when I compare them to the EBS cables.
