Also 'My Brave Face'. Part of it is just timing/sentimentality, but I really liked Flowers in the Dirt era. That was a killer live band, too.
I never realized Elvis was a part of that tune since he doesn't sing on it (or play on it at all if Wikipedia is to believed). Now I need to go dust off that track for a refresh!

I really liked that thing he did with the Harlem Globetrotters:
I saw a Paul special from the Cavern with David Gilmour and he did his Valentine song at the Grammys a few years ago with Joe Walsh.

Gilmore has worked with Paul a couple of times. First on the 'Back to the Egg' album by Wings back in 79 on the two 'Rochestra' tracks, 'So Glad' and 'Rochestra Theme'. Then in early mid 80's on the kinda terrible 'Give My Regards to Broadstreet' album. Although the song he did, 'No More Lonely Nights' is pretty good. Classic McCartney ballad with a Dave Gilmore/Pink Floyd solo! Always my favorite on that one!
And the movie Give My Regards to Broadstreet was pretty terrible lol.
Big flop. Me and another Paul-a-holic friend went to see it at the theatre. We were the second and third person in attendance. Total!! Coolest thing about it was the flashbacks to turn of the century times that had Ringo in them!

Also, I read in interview with Paul where he said that he talked to Eric Clapton in the mid 70s and Clapton told him that he should have asked him to join his new band after the Beatles broke up, he woulda joined in a heartbeat. How cool would that a been? Wings, with Paul, Denny Laine, and Eric Clapton!

Actually Brian Jones did work with Beatles on the song, 'You Know My Name Look Up the Number' . It's the B side of the Let it Be or Long and Winding Road single. Silly goof off song. They invited him to the session and expected him to show up with a guitar. Being a guitarist and all. He showed up with a saxophone! They let him play it and it's in the song. I think it was the last recording he did before he died.
Would be cool if it was someone younger/newer. I like that type of stuff because it’s like passing off the baton. It also puts them in a place where they’re still tuned in to new stuff that’s happening, instead of rehashing old sounds. Mac demarco, Courtney Barnett or something like that.
