Paul Rogers has long been a favorite player of mine. He used to play a 5 sting with a low B now he plays custom 6 and 7 string double basses.
He always had a huge, powerful sound and beautiful Ideas. He works mostly in free improvisation and free jazz.
He is a memeber of the great UK jazz quartet Mujician, and he also works with Evan Parker. He is most often Heard with the great tenor, soprano and bagpiper Paul Dunmall.
