PAWN SHOP BEATER MIK SQUIER

I like everything except the body paint - I'd probably sand it down and rattle can it... I'd also install tone and volume knobs, because I like to have them - after that, I'd rock that bad chicken... Nice score, dude - congrats...

The black is under the blue. The best I can tell the bass was originally black, painted black again, poorly stripped and painted over with the blue colour.

huh, that's strange. It doesn't look like typical wear and tear. Is that blue/green a single coat or something? I'm just wondering how you get textured wear like that.

The black underneath was really poorly stripped, looks like somebody used a canned spray paint remover and a scraper and/or a rag. I think the blue paint is probably rattle can that's been buffed or sanded. The strange black patterns are high spots.

Alright, when I get back into town tomorrow I'll throw on a tort guard and snap some pics. Honestly, I thought there would be a lot more disliking of the sculls, but it's possible the folks who find it lame wouldn't necessarily bother to comment.

I love those Korean P bass necks - I had one that I still kick myself for getting rid of. Is that one of the wide and flat necks?. If so, is it for sale?

This one isn't too wide, like 1 5/8 I'm pretty sure, but yes, really very flat. It will probably go up on ebay, I made some pretty drastic adjustments before I left town, it will be interesting to see if this thing can hold a set-up. Chances are there will be some shimming involved when it's all said and done.

I haven't really "played" this bass aside from dicking around in with the set-up, but it does actually feel quite nice. Are you talking about the alignment of the strings, or?

yeah, im not sure maybe i should look again, but from what i saw it looked like the strings arent lined up where they belong on the neck, as if the bridge is off by a few milimeters. i've seen it on new fenders, so anythings possible..

edit- just looked again, i think im just loosing my mind. perhaps its the angle the first picture was taken on..

Yea, it does look a little off in the photo, I'll have to check it out. I haven't looked under the bridge buy there's at least 3 different sets of pickguard holes so who knows!?
