PayPal/Bandcamp Scams?

I have no idea if this is a scam or not but we just posted our new EP on our Bandcamp page. So far we have a couple digital downloads and a single person has bought the actual physical EP. Somebody in Germany. And he found it a day before we actually let anybody know (aside from some music blogs) that the files were up on Bandcamp. So I'm really not sure what's up with this. Germany? We're a little tiny west coast originals band. I have no idea how this guy would find us, why he would spend a bunch of money for an EP and shipping (mail to Deutschland isn't cheap), etc...

Anybody familiar with any scams like this? Just seems really strange to me. On the other hand I do always tell people that we're huge in Europe.

Perhaps he just stumbled across your Bandcamp page and really liked the music?

^ Yeah I gotta agree. As long as he doesn't ask for money to release your long lost inheritance from a distant German relative your good to go!

I've never heard of a scam like this, but you never know on the Internet. I'm going to remain optimistic and say that he probably just really liked the music and wanted your EP! You guys are doing it right!

No offense, I might be ignorant of how this works, but if he bought the ep from Bandcamp, how could this possibly be a scam, or to your detriment in any way?

Figured it out. He's a friend of a friend and heard about us that way. So it is legit. I've never heard of a scam like this before, but you never know. I figured I'd ask.
