pbass pickup covers...

hey folks... and to anyone who has a Curtis Novak pbass pickup,

any suggestions on a pickup cover?

They will give you a fat tone if that what you want kinda on the low mids. They are taller than your avg P-pickup and there not that much adjustment on pickup height. They cost around $125. I rate them at 8 only because of the adjustment.

Curtis had a set on hand when I bought my P pickup, and he sold them to me for a reasonable price.

Did you ask if he had any?

Otherwise, everybody sells P pickup covers.

Yes, it's a standard P bass cover.

Curtis told me that he normally doesn't stock covers, because most people are just replacing their pickups and would have the covers on hand from their stock pickups.

AFAIK, EMG covers are not removable.
They are epoxy potted.

Right. If you want closed covers you can get them from GuitarJones USA:

They have regular open covers as well. you can get them from a lot of different places.

...but, how do i fasten them to the pups?.... do i just drop the pup into the cover and epoxy it in around the seam?

Just push the pickups in. You don't use glue. The foam under the pickup will hold it up into the cover when it's screwed down to the bass.
