pd7 problems

Hi! i bought a ibanez pd7 overdrive pedal like a month ago and i noticed that every time i put it into overdrive it sounds like farting when i play low notes. It doesnt happen when it is in distortion or clean. The noise dissapears a little bit when i cut the low end but i dont want to cut the low end. It isnt the pd7 batteries or my bass batteries, i have already changed them. Btw i own an ibanez gsr200 active pickups and an ibanez IBZ10B 10 watts amp. I also tried out different cables. Can anyone help me?? =P

Could be a number of things. Here's some of my guesses:

Your active bass could be sending a hotter signal than the PD-7 is able to handle.

The PD-7 is sending your amp into clipping.

The amp itself is not working, such as a warped voice coil or ripped speaker.

The amp is not rated to handle low notes that the bass and/or the PD-7 are pumping out.

I'm gonna say its your small amp and speaker distorting with the low notes. I use this pedal along with an Ibanez GSR190 and SR506, when I use it through my smaller amp the low notes mud out really bad, but I can tell its the speaker moving weird. Through my 300 watt 15" it sounds smooth as butta.
