Peak light coming on at 5??

Hey I guys. Here's the deal: I run an Ampeg SVT 7Pro(rev C) mono into an Ampeg 810. Gain: noon EQ: flat Master: 10 o'clock. (Always a passive 4 string Jazz or p bass) Here's the thing: The red peak like comes on when I hit a low note pretty hard. I've read on TB that with the 4 pro that type of thing is generally ok. My question is, is it also ok for the 7 pro?? It just seemed odd. I also run a sansamp BDDI. But I messed with level after I EQed it so the volume would be pretty much the same as when it's being bypassed. Thanks guys!!

Yes peak light is more of a "appropriate input gain" light. Should be flickering on rather frequently if your gain is set right.

your input peak light should be coming on with your hardest "hit". Sounds like things are running fine.
