Peavey Axcelerator fretless 1983

I bought a fretless 1983 Axcelerator today. I can't find any info on axcelerators before 94-95.

The Axcelerator came out in '94. Either you have misinterpreted the date code, or you don't have an Axcelerator.

I agree, '83 is too early for an axcelerator. Can you post some pics?

At this point, I'd like to say what a great bass the Axcelerator is. 18v electronics, VFL pickups, lightweight and well made. These can be had for around $300, and at that price they are a steal!

Mine is candy apple red, 1994, i got it for $300 with OHSC, leather strap, braided cord. It's mint.

I'm thinking I paid $160 for mine before they started catching on, plus $60 to get rid of the god awful PG,
and $25 each for the vintage knobs.
