A while back, when I was still playing guitar, a friend gave me an old rackmount Classic 120 power amp that wasn't working. When I took it to a shop to have it looked at/repaired, one of the guys that worked there commented "I think that's the first dead Peavey amp I've ever seen." The other guys standing around murmured assent.
Btw, I know of a ton of metal bands whose guitarists play 6505's. Awesome amps.
