Not sure what you hated about the Fury & Foundation (I have 2 of each and like them all), but maybe you'll like their active basses better.
My 3 favorite active Peaveys are the RJ-IV, Axcelerator and the Millennium.

I'm afraid it's heavier than that. Mine is 9 pounds
2 ounces.

In my opinion, the Patriot comes alive when it has
a good set of flats. Great sound.

Here are my two current Peaveys. The sunburst BXP I do not have anymore it was traded for the red Patriot. The other is a white 1989 Foundation

U.S. made Peavey Foundation S. Judging by the serial#, looks to have been made in 1990.
