Peavey basses; Most desirable to Least desirable.

Thats probably fair. Im on fence between buying the fury, or a used squier 50s pbass with an upgraded Seymour Duncan PUP.

I would keep my 2019 Indonesian made (Samick) Classic Vibe 50's Precision Bass with Seymour Duncan Stinger Stacked pickup over a mid nineties Fury.
I love the 1st Gen Fury basses with the awesome "slant" Super Ferrite pickup, great necks and great body shape.
I love the 2nd Gen Fury basses with split P pickup, great bi-laminated neck and that same great body shape.
I still like some of the 3rd Gen Fury basses and I have a1992 that I put a Thunderbird pickup in, but at some point after 1992 or 1993 they started getting not as good.
I had a mid 90's black Fury that I liked, but not as much as my CV Squier 50's P.
That Fury had a neck that just didn't have the magic feel that all my previous Furys had.

I would be less inclined to get as excited about the earlier China made CV 50's Precision Basses but some folks think they are the best. I don't like the body wood they used, I don't like the bridge dimensions, and I don't care for the way the really pale neck looks but it is a good neck.

I say, along with the B-Quad and custom, one-off US Cirruses or standard Tigereye models, the top of the heap was also the Millennium Plus BN. The one below is mine.

Yes, it's black variegated gold-leaf. It was originally a magenta colour.

I am new to the PeaveySphere, but I agree. The T20 is my intro and wow! All these years I have been noodling around I had no idea…

Stop drawing attention to how awesome peavey basses are, they're in short supply already! I really wish they'd reissue the T series already.

For the Peavey fans out there, will you list your opinion of the Peavey bass models throughout their years of production, from the most desirable model to the least desirable model. Please include basses from all countries of manufacture, without regard to current price or market value. I won't offer my opinion since I don't want to skew the results.

I will say that I have two Peavey basses and several Peavey guitars in my collection. I also have several Peavey amps and sound gear, so I am a fan, but for this thread let's just talk about their basses.

PeAvEy Grind 5 str. - Awesome Bass
PeAvEy Grind 6 str - Loved it
PeAvEy Cirrus -5 str (tiger eye) hated it
My 95/96 PeAvEy FoUnDaTiOn 5
Is in the top 3 of Peaveys best basses .
Playability - 12
Sound - 10
Fastest neck of all my basses

Own a B Quad 5 and a G bass. The B Q sounds amazing, but not very comfortable playing sitting down as the lower horn digs into your leg. The G bass is pretty much perfect for me. Very light, comfortable, versatile and can be aggressive when you want it.

In some respects it was with the Dyna Bass Unity. However, all of those are PJ configurations to my knowledge. As someone who has had TL5s and a maple bodied Unity, they are just about the same, acoustically.

My first bass was /is a Fury. I've had 10 others since. I come back to the Fury.
I had the right bass from the start.

I like the G Bass series, both the 4 & 5, from the late 90s and early 2000s.

I also like the Axxelerator 5 and Forum Ax models from the same era. The Cirrus too.
