Peavey F-800B Early Schematics

recently had an opportunity to purchase one of these tanks off of craigslist, jumped at it. Now when i purcahsed the head i assumed the overdrive would be up to snuff with Death From Above 1979's Jesse Keeler's sound. It is not, and is much weaker than i had anticipated. He does not use any pedals and all the overdrive he gets is from his F-800B and acoustic head. Now i was recently chatting with him and it ends up that the VERY earliest peavey heads WITHOUT footswitches had a different overdrive circuit than the ones with the footswitch. I want to know if anyone out there happens to know where i can locate the early non-footswitch model schematics? my tech and i want to attempt to change the current setup to early specs so that the overdrive sounds as it should. thanks for the help!

its not but i appreciate the effort! haha. when they added the footswitch they changed something about the overdrive circuit that made it far weaker than the predecessor. the early model had absolutely filthy overdrive whereas this one is basically expected bass overdrive as opposed to craziness from the early one.

Did you ever find that f-800b pre footswitch schematic?
