got a free trade for a Peavey Fury, the thing looked really used but after taking it home and playing it there was a "wow ***?!!! this is really awesome?" moment. Compared to the other 4 basses I had and the Peavey Fury was just sweet, awesome feel and setup. I think they hit a home run with the headstock design too. Band the sons in bass player chose it over the others too and used it in the gig. Said he really like the pickups.
Another thing this Fury has, its the block lettered US version, is the neck adjust like the American Fender Stratocasters which to me is a high end addition. This one is a Maple neck, been repainted and very very cool.
It can easily keep up with any gig or bass Ive had and that includes US P-Bass etc.. super low action, smooth maple neck.
Its the straight pup configuration (not slanted).
Its just weird though because its often perceived as a cheap unknown...the seller said "yeah its an ok beginner guitar" lol
It would be an amazing beginner guitar. imo. It would be a great experienced players guitar..lol
