Peavey Max Combo Bypass

I own a Peavey Max 115 combo amp (60 watts) and an older Peavey Mark III Series 300 head (150 watts). I plan to bypass the combo amp and use the Mark III amp with the combo's driver.

I read a few threads here about how to do the operation. Famous last words but...I don't think it will too difficult. More on that later, I'm sure.

Anyway, I can't find detailed specs for the combo driver.
As a general question, does anybody know if the 60 watt combo driver will handle the 150 watt Mark III? Does Peavey generally 'underpower' their drivers?

You can go to Peavey website and download the manual. Also, on the website you can find a tech support number and call them. I've had a couple questions myself and called them, and I didn't wait on hold and got a fast answer. Good luck.
