Happy Saturday night. I would like to hear about anyone's experience with the Peavey Max 208, 250, or 300. My local shops don't carry Peavey, so wondering if anyone can vouch for them.

Is that Max 250 model with a single 15" driver? And does it have a tweeter or no? Also, does it have a ext speaker out on the back?
Looking at these Max series combos now.
Hey thanks, so it's about half the 250 watts, then full 250 when you add an ext speaker? I've been looking at pics of the different Max series combos. Didn't think I saw the tweeter off/on switch on the Max 250. But if you say its' there; cool. I've looked at all of them in my research so maybe I'm thinking of the Max 112 that doesn't have that feature. May I ask how old your amp is? And have you tried it with an ext cab. I have several 8 ohm cabs, 110, 112, 210 that I can try with it as I would mostly use it like that. THanks again, peace, e.
EDIT: Sorry to OP for the hi-jack w all my questions. And to KaraQ, looks like you're using the 208 so that would not have the tweeter or spkr ext feature, I believe. But thanks for your helpful info here.
I have a Trace Elliot 2x8 cab I've used with the Elf at small gigs, I just think I need a tweeter to fulfill the tone I like. peace, e
I bought a used 208 in late 2019. It’s super reliable. It’s been used for gigs, home practice, and weekly band practice. Unfortunately it doesn’t have the built-in tuner like the other max amps but that’s small potatoes. Get one!Happy Saturday night.
