I'm looking at a bass on craigslist. It's a peavey milestone, but I don't know much about that line. I can only find minimal info online. As you can see the headstock isn't painted to match the body. I'm pretty sure it's just a P bass, but due to the really bad picture (awaiting more detail via email) I guess there is a very tiny chance it has a J pup and you can't see it, but i doubt it. They claim to have put in bassline pups. What can anyone tell me about this bass? Thanks.

I own one of the new model p/j milestones, dont like it.
Owned one of these back in in the day also for a brief period.
Had dimarzios in it though.
They are the made in china basses i believe, at least the new ones are. Very lightweight and well balanced but nothing spectacular.
The necks are very thin and fast if that is your thing.
They are just budget basses with cheap hardware and not in the same ballpark at all as the Fury, Foundation, T-40, T-20, etc.
Wouldnt pay more than $100 for it.
Just my opinion.

Looks like a Peavey Milestone II bass to me. With the split pu's. No Jazz pu on it. It's a cheaper bass Made in Korea- decent P bass clone if bought at around $100 or less. The pickups if truly Basslines, will do much to improve the sound of it.

I have one I bought for $75 at a pawn shop. It's a great bass. Mine is the MileStone II (p bass)

Neck is quite a bit thinner than a standard p neck. About like a Jazz neck.

Electronics sound really good. Side note they are the hottest pickups I have ever played and I have another bass with Quarter Pounders.

Hardware is overall pretty solid.

Over all great player. Much better than a Squier Affinity at the same price point.

Cons are it is not a standard Fender neck pocket and pickguards are hard to find if you plan to do any upgrades.

I had a Milestone I (J copy) for a while. Same neck but the pickups were a little lacking in tone so I sold it but hung on to the II

Bass on the bottom is my Milestone II
