Peavey Millennium USA Club

I know the club thing has been done, but I want to start one more. This is a club for those who own USA made Peavey Millennium Standard or Plus, 4 or 5 string model basses.

I'll start! Here's my Millennium Plus 5:

Two 4-bangers

The original J/MM in a classy Black and Maple and
The last USA variation, the 34" scale Millennium STD, a P/J in a restrained sunburst.

I use it for the P-tone and it does a fine job. The tone control could use a wider range - it seems to go from off to on in about a 1/4 turn. The neck is a tad narrower than the J/MM.

Philbiker has one as well and is a big fan. Heard him play at the International GTG last summer and he can really make it sing.

The thing I love so much about these is they can sound modern and vintage just with a twist of a knob. Post pics when you get them!

I've read that the MM/J Milleniums were a key inspiration for Lakland for their Skyline series. Don't know if it's true.

Here's my sunburst Millenium STD. The "P" pickup is from Reverend, and I use this bass as a "P" bass 90%+ of the time. It is becoming my number one "go to", I use it a lot along with my Palaedium in my countrified classic rock band. Sounds great, looks good enough, plays like a dream. Mine is extremely light.

Very nice! I'd love to have a P/J version! I think my next one will be one of the 4-string J/J versions, though. ethansdad is selling one here on TB for $375 - it's the one I sold him! I'd love to have it back, but I don't have the cash. :bawl:

I'm not sure if I believe the "Millennium's inspiring the Skyline" story since I think Lakland started making their 4-94/5-94 basses first.
