All of mine are like that! It's probably cheaper for the manufacturer to substitute some skinny strings for fat ones! Less metal! Hey, does that mean that skinny strings aren't good for Metal?
No, they are totally metal, but the bigger ones are more metal. They cost more, too, so they must be better.

Took my cabinet and bass to a local dealer and tried out the Mini Mega. I really liked it a lot and want one now. All I need to do now is sell my Eden head. Didn't get to crank it up, but I could tell it had all the power I need. Love the features.
Thought someone earlier in the thread mention the serial # being a sticker on the bottom. Might make violating #4 in paragraph two a little too easy.

I'm either going to post mine for sale or return it to the dealer. Not that I don't like it, it's just not for me. More bells and whistles, as useful as they may be, then I need. I waited patiently for two years for this amp. Gave up on it more than once. However, when it finally became available I was overcome more by lust/GAS than need.

Native without much knob twisting.. Is the preamp Clean and smooth or it is a harmonic enriched type of tone...
Im wondering how it rates as far as real world power.. ? Some of the class D maps of only a few years ago using Off The shelf modules never seemed to have what is claimed and thinned out in tone when you got on it.. . I am pretty sure this is a proprietary Class D kit inside though..
Is the mM a wishful 1000 watts ...or the real deal?
There is something about this amp that has my attention for a possible new rig.. This and an AudioKinesis 1855 might be a nice rig...

Mine slams pretty hard that's for sure. As for micros, I've owned a MB800 and the mM feels like it's right there with it. Running through my Dually (215) it is painfully loud with headroom out the wazoo. When you turn it up and run it like that are no diminishing returns to my ears. It just keeps on keeping on.
It for sure delivers. One of the things I really like is the gain and volume knobs do something past the first quarter turn. The amp gets louder as you turn up. No reaching max output early in the turn.
That rig would rock hard and sound great! Have you had a chance to stop by Duke's shop?

No i haven't.. I would like to one day... I saw someone else is making a 118 sealed cab too.. But there is somethig about teh hathor 1855 that intriues me.Plus his vast knowleged of crossovers etc.. I like the idea of being able to plug the port on the 1855 if i wanted to.. And the Mega Minni really looks a great features set..
I think this thing delivers all the power promised. It's not hype at least according to my ears.
Using the mM affects the way I play and my note selection. For me personally, it's like the amp equivalent of moving from 4-string to 5-string, if that makes sense.
I think that is a very appropriate analogy. Plugging into my other amps, I feel like something is missing. It's not just a tone thing either...All of my basses seem to have a more defined identity thru the mM also. I can't find anything to not like...it delivers and gives as good as it gets.
I may have mentioned this before but one thing I am really digging on the mM is the Kosmos (both) at low volume situations. With control over both, I can find a nice setting to give the room a rumble even when the volume is extremely low. This enhances my "feel" experience that I get when using the amp. Very similar to the same feeling when I push a big tube amp but I don't have to deal with the induced nausea and poop cramps. I've had the mM a little over a week now, a couple of band practices and am really liking this amp more and more. Great job @BbbyBld .
