how would a mini mega and a bergantino ht322 do? its 2x10 1x12" oder model but it sounded grew with my shuttle 9.0, but that head was stolen so I'm in hunt. Ant comment>

That cab loves power - should hit harder than it did with the Shuttle.

The MM is fairly neutral, so with that Berg HT322 you will probably dial in some mids to get some articulation. The Mesa D800 might be more plug and play.
Alrighty-then, I'm in with a mM amp order. Bought it today online, shows shipped out today. Been considering a few micro-mini-mega other amps lately. This one just caught my eye and for a good price new. I used Peavey bass gear for few years back in the 80's. Hope this one is somewhat different than those days.
I have two gigs this coming weekend to give er a go with my BF Gen 2 Big Twin-T cab. Will use '08 Am St P5 w/nylon tapes on Friday and Carvin SB5000 w/SS strings on Sat with two different style bands. I imagine I should get a good idea of how it sounds after that. Fingers crossed I dig it.
Usually I use GK MB800 or Genz Benz 12.2 in those bands. Yeah, I like it pretty clean.

Been loving this head - it just plain slams with a fEARful 12/6. As it turns out, all the 'extras' aren't really usable for me. I thought initially that the crunch channel would be useful, but I find it too muddy and lacking in articulation, and eq can't really fix it. But, after all, I got the head for the power section first and the eq second, and neither disappoints. Quite the opposite in fact!
I'm still curious about some of the new micros out there, but there's no question this power section is now setting the standard for them to live up to

I agree about the crunch feature, there seems to be some low end push eq'ed into that feature which really thickens it up. Not sure how it would work in most situations, not really my thing anyway. I seem to be getting a little more volume out of my Mesa D800 at the same knob settings, not sure why. But I do appreciate the flexible EQ section a lot.
Yeah, seems a lot of folks soured on this amp from the very long wait for it to come to fruition. I can understand that after reading all 75 pages here after a few days. Although, this was after I'd already ordered my new MM1000, I'd only read the last few page of that thread then. So upon reading about all the frustrated folks that tired of waiting and bought something else. I hope they still take a try at this new Peavey amp.
I was eyeing a couple other new amps that were just out and just came across the Peavey MM1000 thread and it really caught my interest to try with my BF Big Twin-T cab. It's an awesomely well built cab and after today, I am again awed at what this cab does with this Peavey amp, just wow. I've ran my GK MB800, GB 12.2 and Ampeg V4B thru this cab and they were no slouches tone/volume wise. But this Peavey amp is just doing things I've never heard out of this cab before.
I'm looking forward to using this rig at my two gigs this coming weekend. From what I've heard at loud, home volume..can't wait to hear it in the clubs I will gig at soon. Hoping for a lot more of the same greatness I've been hearing at home today using my '08 Am St P5 w/nylon tapes, Carvin SB5000 and even Squire 70's VMJ-V. Very impressed actually with what the Squire was sounding like. It and the P5 will make the gigs this weekend. Almost everything I tried with all the different buttons gave me a very nice, different and useable tone. Should be fun.

I got mine earlier this week, actually a couple weeks ahead of the expected ship date, but a couple of months after I ordered it.
I've tried it with a variety of Greenboy cabinets, and am generally pleased with it. The EQ and compressor are quite useable, the punch and crunch don't do much for me. The Kosmos is intended for less capable cabs, and as such didn't do anything that I liked.
So it's got useable EQ, compressor and robust power amp, overall its a nice amp.
One issue that has driven some users (with better hearing than me) crazy is that the power supply emits a high pitched whine that changes with lighting schemes. I'm able to hear it if I put my ear to the amp, but it's of no concern to me, or likely even those with better hearing at levels other than bedroom, but I can't say for sure what someone else perceives as an annoyance.

Well, Ive not heard that hi-pitched squeal but I did set my color choice fairly quickly, so no cycling thru the light sequences for me. Unless they are hearing it while on MUTE when the lite cycle begins, I've still not heard it.
But I sure heard that fan kick on right from the start, darn. Maybe the loud fan noise is drowning out the hi-squeal noise in my amp.

Yes, even with the amps I have now in hand, I am still looking over my shoulder at the Mesa D-800 and Genzler Magellan 800. This BF cab inspires that type of thing. So hoping more jump in with camparos' of these amps.....so maybe I wont have to buy one of them still. Maybe?!
Some of you folks seem really close to the Peavy designers ... do you know why they chose not to include an auxiliary input? Most of these small class D's are coming out with aux ports so we can practice with a device. Handy for family guys like me that get most of our practice hours in after wife and kids are in bed. They included it on the MiniMax. Feels like a missing feature on the mega.

Above I've linked the manual online. If you look at page 6. The diagram of the rear panel shows it between the speaker output and the DI.
Looks good. Just to be picky, it bothers me slightly that it's labelled "volume" and not "master" ... 
Strange ... the picture at Sweetwater (here or here) doesn't match the manual. The whole back panel layout in the manual is different than the picture. There are other pic on the web that show same rear panel as sweetwater. Do I assume the pics are of early, preprod, models ... or is manual wrong?

The manual is inaccurate on more than one count. There is definitely an 1/8" aux input jack on the rear panel. It is only effected by the "volume" control.
Peavey must have dropped a whole bunch of pre-production machines then 'cause I've not seen single pic of a rear panel that looks like the manual. Not too unusual, I have a 1999 Eden WT800 that has a front panel with all sorts of mistakes. Eden told me that its a pre-prod, demo model that went out before they finalized that production run. I'm happy to hear there's aux jack, that pretty much seals deal for me.
