Peavey or Squier?

I've never owned a Squier bass, but I've never played a Classic Vibe that I didn't like... A lot. Before I built the P-bass in my avatar, I came very close to buying a CV '70s Precision. And I have a CV '50s Telecaster that's unbelievably good. I don' think you can go wrong with a Classic Vibe.

I'd take a CV Squier over the Grind any day, but not the Sarzo.

If faced with the same dilemma as @PfB , I'd be letting the Sarzo go
OK maybe not for a Squier

I have to wonder how many folks saying keep the Sarzo actually own one or have played one ?
Yes they are nicely constructed and yes it's a nice looking bass, nice to play.

Tone is where the niceties stop. Never happy with the tone but thinking "maybe it's just me" I loaned mine to a friend.
She quickly returned it, said it "should be called the "Castrato, it's got no balls"

I have a bass with the same pickups. Sounds beefy to me. I listened to the first demo that came up, max proud. If I had to describe the sound, I would say it even sounds Beefy on his cell phone recording.

Now, my Peavey Patriot really is not beefy, but I still think it sounds pretty good.
