I'm surprised nobody's posted anything about these yet. Maybe nobody reads Bass Player mag anymore. :) They're listed in the new gear, will go for about $599, and look like the bass version of this:

They're not on the peavey site yet, and nor do they seem available anywhere. I think they have bit of a T bird vibe to them (lest the metal headstock) and the description sounds pretty good:

If $599 is list and they come out of the gate at a few hundred bucks, I think I might give one a go. I'm due for a new toy.

Anyone remember the Mystic or Mantis?.. sweet T-60 with a funky body shape.. guessing they're future collectables.

Wonder the country of origin...

Yeah, totally remember the Mysitc. Similar in shape to the B.C. Rich Stealth, which may have come along later. Not sure.

Can't picture the Mantis, I'll have to look it up. The name is familiar, just can't remember what it looked like.

How about the Razer? That was a strange little axe.

On edit: I looked up the Mantis and yes, I vaguely remember that model. I never saw one in person... must have been in a catalog or an ad. Cool looking, though. The pick guard gave it a slight mid-century modern vibe.
