Peavey Sheffield T/S speaker specs

OK, here's a bump from waaaay back, but I have new question:

since this thread, has anyone managed to find a higher-quality, better low-end response driver that would be a suitable replacement for the Sheffields BUT STILL USING the 410TVX enclosure?

Help a brother out, I'm trying to improve my cheap rig!

+1 what DJ said.. am wondering if the 16 or 32ohm weber 10's are ok for a shelf/vent cab such as a TVX .. from what I understand parallel setup is best especially if u run a tube power section as I do on occasion SVT/V4 (less damping) and the TVX is parallel series or series parallel (not sure if this matters much)

wow, guess this thread is dead... am sitting here reading and learning anyways... wondering how much truth there is to running the 410 tvx 8hm cab with only 2 original drivers.. and maybe the the inductor bypassed, has anyone left the rest of the crossover intact with the stock fostex horn as well? the 2 speaker idea may be cool, since I borrowed 2 to put in a 210 goliath jr III that needed speakers, has similar crossover/same type horn

They don't. If you were to hear the difference between them and a true low frequency speaker cabinet you'd be amazed.
Bill, Is that Tuba 24 Ya'llz talk about best with a bp102? does it haven inductor built in, so that it could be run with a 210 with maybe 2010's or 2510's in it.. have a 210 goliath III Jr with 2 stock (model 121) 8ohm speakers <in parallel> out of a peavey tvx 410 in it? ?

All the SPL graphs are with an S2010 - the BP102 is only mentioned in the context of "how little you can spend." I'd draw an inference there that spending the extra $15/driver is probably wise. AFAIUI, they are intended to be driven by a dedicated sub amp (crossover before amplification.)
