Hey guys.

i was just wondering, i'm looking at the Peavey TVX 115 cab. What is the output power at 8ohm and whether it matches the TVX 410 cab. Also whether the Peavey Tour 700 is a good match for the 2 cabs as a stack.

Have you tried downloading the relevant users manuals from, and reading the specs. on Invalid Link Removed.

Reading amp literature is more than merely enlightening. Doing so can also save one money and headaches too.

Both cabs have to be 8ohms,to be powered by the tour 700.
If the 2 cabs are 4 ohms, you should use the Firebass 700.

I just played through the TVX series cabs at a gig recently. They sounded great, although the head was a GK.

I have a Tour 450 that I love. Good, solid, reliable, and pretty warm sounding. Most amps have a "suck" knob, but I really like the "contour" knob. It also has a beast of an EQ. Very sensitive and complex.

I play the Tour 450 through Hartke cabs. I like the way it sounds, and it gives me a nice stable platform to experiment on. IMHO, you can't go wrong with Peavey or Hartke. Both have great products and awesome customer service.

The new TVX (often shown with "EX" in the name) cabinets are 8 ohm. Therefore, they are in fact designed to be used 2 at a time with the new Tour amp heads. The older non-chinese made TVX cabinets are only 4 ohms, and can't be used 2 at a time. They look identical. Peavey switched from using 4 ohm cabinets and 2 ohm capable heads, to going "with the flow" if you will and selling only 8 ohm cabs for their new 4 ohm capable heads.
