Peavey T-20 FL, worth it?

Don't remember the ring being attached to the scratch plate on either T-20 or Fury.

I am pretty sure (not 100%) that that ring is not attached to the plate.

Nice. Here is my '83 Fury & got two weeks ago for $50. Just by comparing I guess the T-20 & Fury are very similar. Would love to find a jazz width neck to put on the Fury, I just can't play a wide neck

Couple things:
1. I believe my T20FL has that same bridge except I haven't had mine off. Not sure if it's more than one piece. Is the bridge in the pic broken?
2. I have both a T-40 and a T-20FL. Both basses are 34" scale but the T20FL has one more fret. Is it correct to assume this is a major consideration for replacement neck choice?

I know I am rather late to this (about 6 years or so now), I'd say it's a worthy investment. I personally bought a black and purple (Aftermarket colored) peavey T20 fretless, albeit one that one of the previous owners decided to rip the frets out and fill the spots with wood filler, leaving much to be desired, and much work to be done, especially since the neck is very much out of wack. (even though the thrift store I bought it from claimed to have taken it to the local luthier for repairs and cleaning, which I don't believe) I'd do it again, it's a very good bass, very powerful sound too. Though I am left considering whether I should re-fret it or if I should redo the sissy-lines with proper ebony wood. (I have the maple fretboard)
Edit: funny enough I got mine for $200 as well.

Love overdue update. I didn't get it quite for $200 but I think it's still a good buy and I figure if it's not for me, I'll be able to recoup my investment.

I think in the late 1980’s, I had a chance to buy one of these for $120. The bass had beautiful tone with plenty of mwah. $120 was a steal back in 1989, and it is an even bigger steal today at $200. Just make sure you can get the appropriate trussrod wrench.
