oops, I forgot to post a pic

now everybody do your part and email peavey marketing and tell them to reissue the t-40. i have already done this and they actually repsponded and said they would pass the message on to the higher ups...who knows if enough of us tell them we want it, they may give it to us. i just dont want to have to buy an old used beat up one, im the type of player who likes emmaculate basses.

If you look you can find some pretty minty ones. If they reissued these things they'd probably cost a lot more than 3 or 400 bucks. It would be cool if they did though.

I GOT MY T40 in today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

...and I pulled a muscle in my arm with it.....>_<

This baby is sweet. Needs one heck of a cleaning though and I think there are flats on it. I have always used roundwounds but these things are weird. I really like their sound on a couple of settings but over all?....nooooooooo :p New strings coming up for my baby...if anyone is interested in these things I will pass em their way..but..T40 NOT included :p

So nice to have a T40 again. This one seems set up ok but Ive got some serious buzzing going on...but the neck and action on it as it sits is lot better then my last one. And this time around I have an idea on what Im doing to set it up right. ^_^

So I finally got to try out my T-40 with the full band last night. HOLY S$%^. I thought people were exaggerating about how well it cops the Rick tone, but there is no exaggeration here. Once I got the electronics figured out, I could have closed my eyes and swore it was a Rick. This is the first time in my time here that TB actually SAVED me money, because I've been GASing for a Rick for years, and now its quieted down a bit.

despite the weight, i think a t-40 is still more comfortable to play than a ricky.

I'll play.
My '79. Not mint, but still in superb condition. Stays home mostly.

My '80 with darkstars. Lots of dents and chips in this one. Definately a player.

My addition to T-40 scholarship. Everything you never wanted to know about the T-40:

Told ya. I know because I've owned both since dirt was young.

Indeed. I have only had it about..um...4 days..haha. Probably going to trade it for a Fender Fretless or a decent (Brice maybe) 6 string if I can find anyone interested.

I LOVE the tone out of this Peavey, but the same reason I got rid of my '82 Fender Precision (that one went to Bunny Bass!) is why i will get rid of this one....the WEIGHT. I am 26 and already my back bothers me....this is a beast of a bass....sounds great...just heavy.
