If it was local I would say meet up and take a look. Based on what the T40s are going for now it would be worth it but Peaveys can develop issues over the years and you would want to check it out in person first. With the T40s now "collectability" compared to just a few years ago where they were looked at like a red headed step child and sold with case for only a couple hundred bucks he should be able to unload it locally no problem. With that cash he could then buy a G&L tribute new or a used US model with the money, so that kind of seems like a red flag of having to do a trade being all the way across the country. Also seems like he might have gotten ripped off or bought a pos and looking to unload or scam anyone he can to get rid of it and get something playable out of the money he wasted. But I sell a lot online and look for all these possibilities so maybe its just me. So the fact that's it a cross country deal and then add the hassle of shipping into the equation I would pass. Could start a chain reaction of problems and regret.
