I'm hoping for some help trying to determine the value of a good condition Peavy TL 5 and can't find one available anywhere to compare it to. I'd be trading a 95 Guild Pilot and just want to be sure that neither of us is losing out. Any thoughts are appreciated.

Peavey TL5 value?

Someone will chime about TB rules to be a supporting member for this type of question, but you could Google the bass and look for past sales on it. Asking prices aren't always selling prices, prices change over time, different markets etc.
I think that trade could be reasonable if both basses are in equal condition.

Both are high quality, undervalued basses. I think I've seen the Pilots sell for a bit less than the TL's but if both are in similar condition I'd consider it a fair trade.
He's not selling one, he's trying to acuire one, so thats fine.

Thanks y'all, I traded my Guild for the TL5. Seems I may have gotten the good end monetarily speaking but he's stoked on a great Guild he'd been looking for. It was local which was nice and I'm stoked to give this five strings beauty a whirl. I had tried to find information on previous sales but couldn't find anything other than some TL6's that went for $1080 and since the fella I was trading with was older and doesn't internet I wanted to be sure I wasn't robbing him. I knew what my guild was worth to me. Thanks again y'all!
$1080 was for the only two I was blessed to find and they were six strings. I wasn't able to find anything about tl5's at all. Glad I made the trade either way. Thanks for the input.
