Peavey TNT 100

Local music store is selling one for $90 and I need a bigger amp and I'm on a pretty tight budget, anyways I played it with my p bass( string with flats) and a jazz bass they had and it sounded decent but before I decide on whether to get it or not I wanted hear what people think about it that have used one live and with a band before thanks in advance!

I agree with everyone else. I got called to sub at a gig a few weeks ago and they had an old TNT 100 combo for me to play. It was great. I've played through a bunch of them (never owned one) and even when eq knobs pop or the Volume pots are scratchy it doesn't matter. The ones that are really trashed might need a good hard kick to come to life, but when they do you've got it made.

My first (real) bass amp was a TNT 160. That thing was an unstoppable beast. The only negative thing that I can think of is that mine was unbelievably heavy for the size of the cabinet, and it only had one handle on the top.

As for performance, I've played through my 160, a 100 and a 130. All of them sounded good and solid. It could be the best bass gear purchase of under $100 that you will EVER make.
