I have a couple fun things coming in today!

Amptweaker Tightdrive Pro. I'm going to see if I like this more than my 500 dollar RUP. LOL. I doubt it, but who knows. I got it for a STEAL. lol
Dunwich Wizard Fuz (big white version)
Rat King (very first one). I had trade for this, and it never worked right. So I asked my buddy John at Center Street Electronics to look at it since we live kind of close. He fixed it and replaced the second stomp switch with a boost from his own creation! :) I'm very excited about that!
Boss OC-2...actually I have two coming LOL. Not sure what to do with the second, but I'll probably be selling it or trading it.

My board is done, like I'm done messing with it. I may switch out minor things now and again, but I'm just so tired of doing it and paying for it.

SO now I have a full PT Pro of other pedals besides my big board. My plan is to make one a guitar board. YIKES! I know!!! LOL

You have to figure in the fact that it's a tube pre and it will add a lot of compression and muddiness until you learn to have it work for you. Especially with effects. I'll be honest, I have never tried an all tube amp that did not disappoint me for the first 5 minutes.

If I get to play with it for an hour, actually spend the whole time readjusting the gain settings on my board, and adjusting the eq on the amp, then I like it. But, the reality is that they are not magical. You have to work at it to get the clarity you are used to get with SS or certain hybrid amps.

It's definitely true that you need to get used to it. But once you learn how to make it work for you - it's absolutely addictive.

Yes, that is exactly my point. If you have a pedalboard, are used to a hybrid or ss amp, doing a show with an svt is not a great thing.

If you want to get ready for that kind of thing and you don't have access to one beforehand, try just putting a compressor at the end of your board, with a 4:1 ratio setting. You'll be surprised how much it can help to readjust the gain settings on your pedals and prepare for a tube amp.

Once you know exactly what you need to do though, it's super easy to jump back and forth.

For me at this point, switching between my SVT and my Genz Benz Shuttle is as easy as turning my Barbershop on or off. Seriously.

So all we will have to do is download the iOS update and we will have it?

Got me---I haven't been around for previous updates/algo releases. I looked already and there was not an App Store update or anything in the H9 Control app.
