Hey guys I recently got a "Black Coffee" distortion pedal. It doesnt really sound to good with my bass, I can rock with it on guitar but I'm looking for a funky really cool sounding pedal for my bass. Any suggestions at all would be greatly appreciated!

Hahaha im new to the pedal game so i dont know any specific brands or kinds... The sound im looking for like a funky wah wah sound... kinda like this I dont know if thats just the bass or some thing else.

Well if all you've got is "Black Coffee" then you need some "Invalid Link Removed"

[Invalid or Expired Link Removed] or take it to the [Invalid or Expired Link Removed]... [Invalid or Expired Link Removed]

And if the Cream doesn't sweeten your tone enough for you, try adding some [Invalid or Expired Link Removed]...

So far as the clip you posted goes...
Filter (likely the Q-Tron) and I'm guessin' with some light OD in that clip.

Here's Flea's 2012 'board:

Californication tour...

More Flea FX here

Malekko B:ASSMASTER is awesome, but you'd do well to check out the GK Rails pedal and some Mutron Clones, too, if you're looking for funky stuff.

Phaser and Flanger are fun on bass, especially when paired with distortion or fuzz...

Dip a toe in the water, but beware, the pool is deep and the undertow could suck you down deep ...
