hey guys, just need some insight. My normal set up is as follows
HARTKE 5410c combo----sansamp bass di---mxr m180 compressor---korg pitch black tuner----digitech drop tuner---BASS
Seeing that I wanted to doctor up a few things or even add for certain tunes so I have this on standby but having trouble figuring out where to put some of them:
Behringer bass Eq: purchased because my eq section of my combo sort of lacks... the sansamp helps but want to tweak a few things
JHS buffer pedal: I know this usually comes first after the bass but I find that I get a significant pop when I engage the tuner so I thought maybe after that cuz my other stuff stays on....
Volume/ wah and distortion: I know the config of these on a basic non-compression set up... but with the mxr present just wondering where these would fit... plus they're optional so depends if I need them that night.
So I was thinking something like this:
AMP----bass di----bass eq---- distortion(optional)----compression----wah/volume(optional)---buffer----tuner---drop tuner---BASS
Or... if I used a loop master switch in this setup, how could that come into play to make it easier on my tone!?
the compression within that set up is the only thing I'm kinda iffy on where it goes before or after wah if used... but this is what I came up with... haven't tried it yet but just brainstorming....
Now in respect I'm more after if this would work or not and some heavily appreciated insight because I read this forum a lot and have some really smart people on here.... BUT not really looking on "why are you doing this for?" or "don't you understand any concept of what you're doing"... no, that's why I'm asking...but I appreciate any insightful and helpful advice...thanks friends!
