sorry to be off topic, but whats the big attraction with the lava cables over normal patch cables anyways?

I'm guessing custom lengths and small plugs, that's why I got George L's at least.

Finally got the mighty mini all wired up and ready for jamming this weekend.

I can finally join this discussion! :D

I moved down from this board to a mini:

Here's how my current setup for my mini looks:

The signal goes:
EBMM SR5
Compulator
Tuner
VT Bass
DS-1 (modded for bass, soon to be replaced with my B:Assmaster once it has been rehoused in a smaller enclosure)
CS-9
RV-7
(not pictured) Ernie Ball VPJr (25k active)
Markbass LM-II

That's quite the population reduction up there...
It's also a GIGANTIC weight reduction! The PT-Pro, when fully loaded, with the extra cables and the hard rolling case weighed somewhere in the vicinity of 100lbs. The Mini, with the EBVPJr and a 1Spot to power everything in the zipper compartment weighs a little over 20lbs. 80% weight reduction means that my poor back isn't dying every time that I had to lug the PT-Pro into or out of the trunk (on average, 4-6 times a week!). The second reason is that I really didn't use all of the pedals that were sitting on the PT-Pro (many have already been sold). They just sat there for my amusement later when I was at home. I found that it simply wasn't worth it to lug everything around and continue to struggle with the super heavy board when it wasn't even getting used. :atoz:

Who's doing the rehousing?
And I'm glad to see I'm not the only one to do the sideways-mounting like the Compulator and ST-200 (ironically, the same combo I have)
Rest assured, that combo is anything but ironic.... :ninja::ninja::ninja::ninja::ninja::ninja::ninja:
:p
The B:Assmaster is going to be rehoused by This1smyne. He's a pedal hobbyist from TheGearPage who is very well spoken of. I own a custom clone of the Super-Duper 2-in-1 (dual Super Hard-On boost) that he made, and was impressed with the build quality (it's a dead ringer compared to my guitarist friend's actual S-D 2-in-1). His page stated that he did rehousing, and so I was obligated to give it a look see. I'll definitely be making up a thread on this when everything is all sorted out. I might also send in the DOD FX32 to him to get it true-bypassed with a 3PDT, rehoused, and with a standard 9v jack stuck on there. :D
