I'm not in a band currently so I'm just playing through a little Fender RAD practice combo I've had for years. I also have an Ashdown ABM Evo II 210 combo, but it's pretty much retired at this point. In the next couple of months I'm hoping to upgrade to the new Demeter VTPB-M-800D head and a Bergantino CN212.

Thanks a lot Rob. Now, on the hunt for a Pentabuzz. Only had enough funds for about a month now, but I am going crazy that I can't find any. And that one on ebay, he won't budge from $2,800. Goin CRAZY!! Really hoping I find my next dream bass soooon. Here's my current love.ImageUploadedByTalkBass1395701333.326631.jpg

I bought 2 pedullas. One a penta buzz from tb and one an mvp5 from ebay. I've seen more on the market now than usua. Shoot for between 1975 and 2200 for a used one in good condition. Also, if you find one beat up but really cheap you might want to go for it. Pedulla does great fretless conversions restorations on his own basses.

Me telling you that over the Internet is kind of like me telling you what size shoes to buy. Here's an idea. Go to your local guitar center and play a 5 string stingray. I know those have 17.5 mm spacing. See if you can extrapolate what would feel comfortable with thinner strings. I can't tell you what's best for your comfort, especially not in a forum :)

Gonna buy this bass for 2750. Any advice/comments? For a used pentabuzz in good as new condition seems like this is an ok price. Talked to seller and he said it is a clean clean bass. Just want to make sure I am not getting ripped. Yeah you could find cheaper out there, but as clean as this? Thanks a lot TB community.

There are worse things than buying an AAA pentabuzz for about half the new price. That thing is going to sing man. When you first play it you're gonna stop yourself, make a face like "what the F*#@, how can a bass sound this good??!!" and then continue to jam out. :-)
