Pedulla Thunderbass

If so, there's no way in hell I would do that trade...but that has as much to do with how ambivalent I am about the Bongo as it does my perceived value of a Pedulla.

Your Pedulla smokes the toilet-seat-looking Bongo. Pedullas aren't made anymore, either. Bongos will be made for years to come, and plenty are available.
Yes, it is the neck through model. I really want the Bongo, but the more I think about, I don't feel clear on giving up the Pedulla.

If you decide to get rid of that Pedulla, I would buy you a Bongo and trade you for the Pedulla. The value of that Thunderbass is quite high these days!
Ok, decision made. I am going to keep the Pedulla and hope to find an extra $3,000 laying around somewhere for the Bongo.

Holy mackerel, never get rid of that. What a bass. Glad you decided to keep it. I gigged a Bongo for years but my two main basses right now are a Stingray and a Pentabuzz. So I love both of these brands. What I can say though is that the Pedulla is on a different level soundwise. The Bart preamp is serious. I love the looks of the Bongo but I never liked the sound very much to be honest. I found the pickups bland, their placement suboptimal, and the preamp frequencies unhelpful. Pretty much the opposite of what I'd say about a Stingray oddly enough, or a Pedulla for that matter. So, as an EBMM fan I'd say you have by far the better sounding instrument right there. Plus it's got the old style bridge man oh man!!

I have 2 Pedulla Raptures and used to have a ThunderBolt 6.
I would never do the trade you propose but it's your bass.

I will never sell my ThunderBolt. Everything about it is top quality, and it just fits my body. Most other basses seem clunky compared to it.
I own a EBMM Bongo 4 HH/Piezo and I wouldn't trade it for a Pedulla Thunderbass, but......I also own a Pedulla Thunderbolt 4 and have played a Thunderbass 4, and I wouldn't trade my Thunderbolt (or the more expensive Thunderbass, if I owned one) for a EBMM Bongo, either...... The Thunderbolt and the Bongo are the two keeper basses out of the seven I own.
Oh....and the toilet seat thing (or whatever) is just silly nonsense.
As far as pricing goes...on the used market you can pick up a used Thunderbolt for about the same as a used Bongo HH, at least I did (and I got the Bongo just before EBMM jacked up their prices on new instruments at the beginning of 2017)....but a Thunderbass like you own, from what I've seen, they go for a lot more.
If you can swing keeping the Thunderbass and obtaining a Bongo I'd say it's pretty sweet, both great basses and they are a nice compliment to each other, in my opinion. They're both "hot", but in different ways.
But I wouldn't ever trade the Pedulla if I was you. Obviously that's just me.....
I was fortunate to be able to get really good used deals on both the Bongo and the Pedulla. Might be an avenue to check out if you are still in the market for the Bongo....if you're not in a hurry.
