Pedulla Thunderbolt--Should I?

I really rate these basses. I've long owned a Pentabuzz and it remains my go-to fretless. There is an inherent feeling of quality evident in Mike's basses, anyone who has held one and observed the beautiful colour and finish work will vouch for that! If you can find a Thunderbolt for a good price I'd definitely say 'go for it!'. Problems with a truss rod can always be repaired by a luthier, but please note that you'll need an autoharp tuning key to adjust the truss rod. These are readily available online and from music stores.

I wound up acquiring one of these recently but it didn’t come with the truss rod tool. The New England winter has brought it towards needing an adjustment. Can anyone that has purchased a replacement/alternative point me in the right direction? I’m gathering an autoharp one with a right angle but unsure if there are different sizes.

I have perved on a Thunderbass (4) + Thunderguts Switch...yeow!...since they first showed up and the Thunderbolts were the on deck version. Always seemed just a bit out of reach and with all the other basses around...nontheless, I would still love to get one just to finally do it. I always had a feeling they would suit me well.

My 2¢ - see one of these that hits you, get it. Very desirable IMO.

Then again, I say that to everyone about everything that clicks for them.....
