Pedulla Truss Rod Options??

Hey guys I just got a black Rapture 5 string. Bought it online for a decent price. Only thing when I got it was had a little buzzing on the A/D strings. It came with a what looked like new pedulla case but no truss rod wrench. I am not good with all the setup of basses quite honestly. Everything else about the bass seems great. The truss rod looks fine when I opened it up. I have been reading and there were some posts from some pedualla owners about a truss rod wrench not purchased from pedulla. I would prefer not to spend $30 for the wrench when I will probably wind up paying for a setup. But I am guessing that is what it desperately needs. Is there a truss rod wrench out there that I could buy that will work and wont strip the rod?? I payed almost $900 for this bass. If any owners out there have any ideas let me know. I saw this in one posting but would like to get any feedback. I know I should probably just spring for the pedulla one but $10 just to ship a small tool is insane along with the $20 it cost. Hello, I'm in the same boat now... I just ran across your thread here.. Did you end up buying the autoharp tool from musicians friend?

thanks Dwight! i wasnt sure of this would fit pedullas truss rod... would've went ahead and sprung $30 but i cant afford it right now.. $3.59 + $4 shipping is more in my price range... hope thia works as the bass im looking at is a used rapture j2 5 string and the truss rod nut looks a little rounded off on the edges.. hopefully the tool will still catch the nut..

I have 2 Raptures (also bought a ThunderBolt 6 from eBay with a trashed trussrod nut the wonderful seller neglected to tell me about :()

I use the Trophy autoharp wrench--I have both the square and star. I prefer the star, either is cheap, safe and works fine.

Be aware that to correct back-bow with the Pedulla truss rod, you go toward the low strings, to correct forward-bow, it's toward the high strings...this is backwards from a number of other basses I've had. Also, go slow...even 1/8 or 1/16 turn makes a big diff and can take a while to settle in. Be sure to check out the [Invalid or Expired Link Removed] if it didn't come with your bass.
