my Thunderbuzz 6 was a great bass. I regret selling it but did so to buy an engagement ring. Still married so not a total loss.
The prices have not gotten crazy yet. I don’t believe there was a great demand for a Pedulla at the time a Michael Pedulla ceased production. In fact, he had told Bass Player that he had been slowly reducing staff until his company was once again a one man shop in its last year or so.
Seems to me that the retail / street price scared people away, and that some considered them to be forbidden fruit because of this. Years ago, there were deals to be had if a person was patient and kept their eyes open...
About 18 years ago I fell in love with a gorgeous flame maple Hexabuzz used at a GC for around $1700. I missed out. Same bass would probably cost $4k used now. I do now have a 4 string Buzz, and paid a bit less than the $1700, but that was for a plain wood older bass that a previous owner had stripped the finish from. They're the best fretless bass around, to me, but they're priced as such, usually.

I remember when you almost couldn't give away Modulus. Suddenly, the company goes under, and BAM...prices skyrocketed and people snatched them up like bottled water during a power outage. Now the prices are so overblown because of the revamped company. So, I can see Mike's works of art going through the roof. Similar case with Peavey's Cirrus...obviously less expensive, but still. Haven't been made here since 2010, took a few years for people to realize their greatness, and now it's like hen's teeth to find one without a stupid price.
