I came to this website stoked that their was a whole website for bass players. At 1st it was awesome and I loved it, and I still do like it, but I have my limits. This site has been up for a long time now and I'm sure every question imaginable about the instrument of a bass has been asked a million different times in so many different ways. My issue is people who have seen a similar post will come to the new post and leave a comment that is either busting your ass, or harassing you cause they've seen a similar post or you didn't ask the question correctly. Isn't the point of this website to help people solve their issue, and to help them out with what they don't know? So why harass someone who's looking for help rather then help them solve their problem? I see this kind of thing happening more then not. Why insult someone and make them feel insecure , when I'm sure they're already nervous about asking for help.

Here it is to the certain people. IF YOU HAVE NOTHING TO SAY THAT WILL HELP THE PERSON OUT, THEN LEAVE IT BE! Don't waist people's time. Don't like the page and you can't help out,or you've seen this thread before then let it be. Thank you

For some reason tone wood debates get really strong reactions.

You'll notice that one of the first replies on the topic you started warned that the thread will most likely get heated and get shut down.

It's not a TB specific issue. Tone wood has elicited threats of violence on youtube channels. It's crazy. In that regard TB reactions are actually more civil than elsewhere. Much like the rest of TB it is well moderated and although not all agree it stays fairly civil.

This post says all that needs to be said about the matter.

The thing is, the people telling you it's been done before or to do a search are telling you the information is there, you just have to look for it. This applies to your current thread and the one you started on the same exact topic 7 months ago where people said the same thing and even provided links for you.

If you have a problem with a specific member's actions, please report the post or PM one of the forum's mods. Openly complaining about the lack of helpfulness you believe you're experiencing is going to get you nowhere fast.
