Strings? I strongly prefer DR stainless steel Lo-Riders on mine. They make em' in nickel too, so I'd try them out if I were you. You'll find that quite a few guys that play Q's use DR's of some sort, and more specifically, lo riders.

the ESP Ltd B-206SM IS surprisingly well suited to the job as well. It's what I play, and it is so well rounded that you can adjust it to whatever you play. In my case, that is Prog Metal as well.

My vote goes to the Ibanez BTB 676. I own it personally and love it more with each passing day. Feel free to ask any questions you may have about it
